Looking to try a new cocktail now that the hot summer months are here? Or do you have a wedding coming up and you’re still on the hunt for the perfect signature drink that’s both elevated and fun? I’ve got the perfect recipe for you to try!
It’s quick, easy and fool-proof, and will be the perfect addition to any summer dinner party or wedding reception.
Bee’s Knees Cocktail
What you’ll need:
Cocktail Shaker Set
Coupe Glass, chilled
Ingredients:
Makes one cocktail
2 oz Gin (Beefeater recommended but any good gin will do!)
3/4 oz Honey Simple Syrup (see steps to make your own below)
1 oz Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice (takes about half a lemon)
Ice, a small handful
How to make the honey simple syrup:
In a small pitcher, stir together 3/4 cup of hot water and 1 cup of honey. Once mixed, pour the syrup into a jar and let cool completely before use in the cocktail. A standard mason jar works great for this!
This one batch of honey syrup makes approximately 10 cocktails. Keep unused syrup in the fridge for up to a week.
How to make the cocktail:
In your cocktail shaker, add all ingredients. Shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds. Remove cap and strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Add a garnish of honeycomb or a curl of lemon peel for bonus points on presentation!
